Wrap Around Care - Bickley Nightingales
We are excited to announce that Bickley Nightingales, our After School Care Provision will be opening on 24th February. Our aim is to provide high quality before and after school care for children that attend Bickley Primary School.
The Bickley Nightingales will operate in the main school hall and playground; weather permitting. The children will have the opportunity to socialise with children across the school, play games, engage in physical activities, have access to a wide variety of toys and games, including board games, role play, arts and crafts and construction.
We want the children to have fun in a safe, caring environment where they can socialise with their peers as well as spend time participating in activities that interest them.
Breakfast will be served from 7.30am in the main school hall for those children who choose to attend the breakfast club. Tea will be served to children at approximately 3.30pm for those attending the afterschool club. The school’s caterer, Harrison, will provide our food. A menu of the provision on offer for the term is available below. Please ensure that any allergies are listed on the registration form.

The Bickley Nightingales hours of operation and prices are as follows:

Children should be dropped off at the main school entrance and be signed in on arrival. The infant children attending the Bickley Nightingales in the morning will be escorted to their classroom in time for the start of school. The junior children will be dismissed from the school hall and will make their own way to their classrooms for registration.
After school, the infant children will be accompanied to the Bickley Nightingales by staff and the junior children will be dismissed directly from their classroom and make their way to the club to be registered.
Registration/Booking Requirements
We require full completion of the following documents to process your booking:
- Registration form – fully complete & signed
- Booking form – fully complete & signed
- Terms & Conditions - signed
Places at Bickley Nightingales are limited and we would recommend booking early. Confirmation of a place will only be given upon receipt of the above forms. Registration forms will be available from Friday 17th January at 8am
Once you receive confirmation of your place, you will be sent an invoice for the first half term. Your invoices will contain a unique reference so that we are able to identify your payment. Please do not send any payments via childcare vouchers or using any other method until we have issued your invoice as we may not be able to match your payment.
Payments
Invoices are issued on a half termly basis. The invoice must be paid by the date on the invoice to guarantee your child’s place in the club. Failure to make payment may result in your place being allocated to another child on the waiting list.
If you are unable to make full payment in advance, please contact the club administrator to discuss this at nightingales@nestschools.org.
We do accept childcare vouchers. If you indicate that you will be making payment via this method on your registration form, we will make a record of this and note that payment will be received on a monthly basis.
We are registered with the HMRC tax-free childcare scheme. We are happy to accept Childcare vouchers from the following providers. Please indicate on the registration form which provider you would like to use to pay via childcare vouchers and we will make arrangements to register with them:

If your employer uses a different childcare voucher provider to those listed above, please specify this on your registration form or contact us on nightingales@nestschools.org.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or childcare voucher. We do not accept cheques or cash payments for the Bickley Nightingales.
Club Staff and Contact Details
The Bickley Nightingales is managed by trained staff, all of whom will have an enhanced DBS check as well as a paediatric first aid qualification. The club falls under the school’s Ofsted registration; however the club has separate contact details and its own management structure. The club also maintains its own registration procedure and documentation.
